Keep Your Tools Yours: The Pink Toolbox

OK… So, you’ve been reading articles, and you’ve bought enough tools to start to replace a man. What happens the next time you have a man in your life? He’s gonna be so impressed and in love with your tools, that he’s gonna try to “borrow” them and who knows if you’ll ever get them back.

RULES OF A WOMAN’S TOOLS:

1) Let him look. And drool.

2) Don’t let him steal them.

3) Don’t even let him touch them unless he signs a waiver that binds him to putting them back in the exact place that he took them from.

Solution: Buy a pink toolbox. I like the Original Pink Box 26″ 5-drawer 18G steel rolling cabinet. Yes, it’s almost a little too girly, but the brilliance in it is that he is really going to have a hard time even touching them when they are hidden in a bright pink toolbox. And there are versions of it that are as small or as large as you want. Plus some models, like the one I like below, has a lock and key one it. Bam! Who’s in charge now?

This one also sits on wheels. So, if you don’t know which of your tools you’re gonna need for the job, just wheel the whole box over, and keep sticking things in the hole until one seems to fit well. Works for me!
