Where Is My Money Going? Quicken Software
Was he the one in charge of your finances? Or just not sure where all of your money has gone at the end of the month? It is not hopeless, nor even overwhelming. You can take the power over your finances back!
My favorite is Quicken. Here’s how it works: Buy the software. Install it on your computer. Link all of your bank accounts into your software and let it sync in all of your information. It will then categorize all of your income and expenses into various categories. You will want to go into the software at least once a month, if not more often, and just take a few minutes to review which categories Quicken has assigned each of your transactions to, and change them if needed. You can also add in your cash transactions.
Quicken 2014 also has a mobile app that lets you take a picture of your receipts (gone is the tall stack of receipts that are half lost and very messy) and lets you push one button and know how much money you have and how much money you’ve spent this month (if even if you have multiple bank accounts) even when you’re at the cash register getting ready to buy…
HOW IT HELPS YOU:
1) INCOME. Know how much money you’re making. Don’t like it? Make a change.
2) EXPENSES. You can look at the spending pie chart and know where all of your money is going. Figure out you spent too much on cable? Trim your channels down, and make more money for shoes…
3) YOU NOW HAVE THE POWER. You know exactly how much is coming in, and where it’s going out to. And if you want to, you can easily export it to Intuit with the click of a button, and do your own taxes by answering the few simple questions that Intuit will guide you through.
YOU ARE SMART. TAKE CONTROL OVER YOUR FINANCES.
Notes: Be smart. You might want to create new long password with capital and small letters (try abbreviations of a sentence instead of real words), and even a symbol or two. Don’t use this password for anything else, and don’t tell it to anyone.
